Harry B. Cunningham 1976 Newspaper article

Hello,

Harry Bloomfield Cunningham's Find-a-grave memorial has this note:

"Harry was the child of Perry Jerome Cunningham and his 1st wife. Harry's 2nd marriage was to Lyda A.B.Thornton on 27 May 1896, in Wood County. They had 7 children, Mabel, Margaret, Eugene Chester, Beulah G., Georgia Virginia, Perry J., and Monroe Edison CUNNINGHAM. He had a son, Harry B. Cunningham, by a previous marriage. A 25 Apr 1976 article in "The Parkersburg News" detailed the 8 day, 200 mile walk through the mountains from Cisco, Ritchie Co., WV to Staunton, Augusta Co., VA which had been made in April 1879 by Harry Bloomfield Cunningham (then 18 years old) with his 16 year old brother Roy and 14 year old sister Lindsay. Their widowed father and his 2nd wife had gone to Staunton to look for a new home, leaving the older children in Ritchie County. Homesick for their father & stepmother, the children braved the mountains and Miles to rejoin their loved ones."

Does anyone have a copy of the newspaper article? I would like to read it.

Thanks.

Boyd McNeil
