William:

I have done research over in Ireland on a few occations and have also hired three extractors and one genealogist to extract and look at church records over there.

I have thought that it may be possible that James's father may have been David Cupples and Mother Elizabeth Hamilton. If you look into this, you may find it correct or incorrect, the records do not lead very far in this time period and the area in question.

So I have to go on other research done at an earlier time period. I think I remember seeing a letter from the 1800's suggesting that the James Cupples and Elizabeth Bigham marriage and the relation to David. The families were from Central Antrim, Near Killyree. The big house Killyree was leased to Samuel and the will of Samuel I will talk about below. I have looked at Wills and Deeds for David and find him listed in a will for Samuel in the 1780's.

Do you show James and Elizabeth Bigham Cupples as being from down or Antrim in the earlier period? Any other names that you show. I will look it in my data base which is now over 20,000 names in the Antrim area.
