William C. Cupples:

I have searched my files at hand and have only found one Alexander Cupples in Co. Antrim. He was born 1795 in Killyree Townland,Dunaghy Parish, Antrim,Ireland. I do not know if that is the one you need?

He is the info:

Alexander Cupples b. 1795(approx)
D.26 apr 1822 at Killyree Townland,Dunaghy Parish, Antrim,Ireland.

His father and his family are as follows:

Moses Cupples b. 1754 @ Dunaghy Parish,Antrim,Ireland
Married about 1780-85 @ nr, Killyree,Dunaghy Parish,Antrim,Ireland.
D. 30 Oct 1795 @ Killyree Townland,Dunaghy Parish, Antrim,Ireland. Buried @ Clough Presbyterian Church Yard.

Wife to Moses:Mary Major b. 1758 d.19 jun 1842 @ Killyree,Townland,Dunaghy Parish, Antrim,Ireland.
Buried @ Clough Presbyterian Church Yard.

They owned the largest home in the area w/many outbuildings and subleased to those in the area.

Their children:

1. Samuel Cupples: b, 1790
2. Henry MAJOR Cupples: b. 1791 d. 18 dec 1865 @ Killyree Townland,Dunaghy Parish, Antrim,Ireland. Buried @ Clough Presbyterian Church Yard. Wife was Margaret m. 1831

3. Moses Cupples: b. 1795 d. 1822
4. Mary Cupples: b. 1796
5. Rosetta Cupples: b. 1797 m. 1815 a Mr. SHEPPERD.

Most of the ages area appox.

As you can see Moses had infants in the house when he died.

Someone else has asked for an Alexander Cupples in the past and I had said to them that is not a common name for the CUPPLES. This will make you research hopefully just slightly easier to do.

I am preparing a file for Charlotte Powell and hopefully in about 3-6 months I will have completed it and will have identified more CUPPLES names. It has about 700+ individuals to this point by that last name most from Co. Antrim. Each day that I work I find another link that had not showed itself up to that point. I have taken off some work to do some research at the Library for the past few weeks and have found much.

I just moved to the West Coast from the Philadelphia area, My work asked me to locate somewhere to which I could fly quickly to any West Coast/US location. That would mean Portland, Seatle, or Salt Lake City. We selected Salt Lake because of our interest in Genealogy, and the nice weather, but since we travel 250+ days a year it does not leave us much for research as we would have liked.

My wife and I do Landscape and Bald/Golden Eagle Photography(myself) and my wife Bird photography. This seems to make up the difference in time, for our Hobbies.

I hope you are able to find more on your ancestors. The John Cupples who left Ireland and his son James, do you have birth dates or any other particulars? I wonder if I have anything in the files on them? How is Alexander related to John/James and to yourself?

Thanks,

Joe Reiley
