Hello Coral,
What fun! You just resolved several questions I've had for some time. The Royers, Thorpes, and Fergusons went to the church I grew up in. I thought Mae Royer and Martha Thorpe were sisters but had no proof. Allen Ferguson was also there occasionally, dimly remembered from my childhood. And I have an old photo of my great grandmother, Mary (Cowan) Mulligan, with a Mrs. Fowler. I have tried several different angles to figure out who she was. Now I know. One of the interesting things that's happened this week is that I got an email from a descendant of George William Haire and Agnes Cupples. It turns out that she lives just over the hill from me and we got on the phone and chatted for an hour. I will forward this information to her; she may want to get in touch with you.
I will keep you in mind if and when I find more on these families.
Joan Olsson
