Coral, I agree that there is probably a tie back somewhere. I only go to the 4 brothers Smith, John, Joseph and David, who is my ancestor. Joseph had 3 sons (Robert, Samuel and Joseph)who were said to have gone to Nova Scotia though I have been unable to find them in Canada. Do not know about the descendents of Smith and John. My David did not have a Joseph but obviously the name does turn up in the family. We will just have to keep digging!
