Curbows in Tennessee
Jean (John) Curbow that Sally Love talks about was married in Queen Anne County, Maryland.I think that he had at least 3 and maybe 4 sons, some if not all who migrated south into North & South Carolina. The SC boys went on to Georgia and it appears the census taker spelled the name Kirbo.Bartley Curbow b. 1830(?) d. 1920 is buried in the Cumberland Shed cemetery near Old Fort, TN, had William Henry, who had John Bartley, who had John Donovan, my father. There are some Curbows in Alabama, near Birmingham and some of the NC Curbows who came to Tennessee in the 1800s went on to Texas.I have a lot of this written down somewhere, but my cousin Sally Love is probably a better source of info.Good luck to you all.Tim
