I don't kow your Joshua Curl but can comment
on the Hampshire Co. VA and Pleasant Township Clark Co. OH pages you reference.

The Wm Curl listed on both of these sites is the same person. He lived in Hampshire Co. VA in both the 1782 and 1784 census and then moved to Lost Creek VA (S of Clarksburg WV) during the 1790's and then to Clark Co. OH after 1803. The Jeremiah Curl listed is probably a brother. My great+grandfather Charles Botkin married Jemima Curl and lived in the same places as Wm Curl so we know there is a connection. We think she is Wm's sister but have no document to prove it.
