Thank you for your reply. My father Frank was, as I'm told, born (mid-1920's) to a family named Downing. I don't know his father's name, but something happened to Frank's mother that drove him away from his father to be raised by his uncle, Moses Curl. He took his uncle's name and became Frank E. Curl. I was born, Frank E Curl, Jr in 1950 in Bellefontaine, OH, in the same hospital that he was born in 1926 or so.

He left our family in 1952 and returned to Ohio, and from what I understand, started another family. I believe that Richard Curl is a product of his second family. (See his posting below).

If the details above are true, I am very anxious to make contact with Richard Curl - we may be able to fill in some details for each other.

He returned to our family in 1961 - in Suffield, CT, near Hartford. He stayed until I saw him last in 1970 in Columbus, OH.
