Windham-Moore Cemetery Dedication May 22

The memorial stones are in place at the Old Windham-Moore Cemetery located just off hwy 171 mile marker 18 1/2 near Moore's Bridge,Tuscaloosa Co.,AL. Dedication day is planned for Sunday, May 22 at 2:00pm with reception following at Mayfield Fire Dept, hwy 171 marker 19. A tour of the area is planned following the reception.

See posting #736 for "residents" of the cemetery among them are: Sara Curl Moore and Mourning Horn Curl, mother and daughter. Mourning Horn Curl was the widow of Wilson Curl of NC. Sara Curl Moore was the widow of Edward Moore, son of Edward Moore, Rev. soldier of Nash CO., NC.

All descendents of urged to attend the marking of this historic cemetery. A working genealogy session is planned for the Tuscaloosa Library on Saturday afternoon, May 21.
