UPDATE: Recent research in Virginia has uncovered records which lead the EAST KENTUCKY WILLIAMS' research group to believe that EDWARD WILLIAMS of Dettingen Parish Prince William County VA was married ONCE prior to 1763 to JEMIMAH CARTER d/o UNKNOWN CARTER & SARAH MUSE MUSE CARTER THORN WILSON and NOT JEMIMAH "ANDERSON" as has been claimed (not proven) for years. We find NO evidence that EDWARD WILLIAMS of Lulbegrud b. c1740 PROB Cople Parish Westmoreland County VA d. 1804 Montgomery County KY was EVER married more than ONCE and that was to JEMIMAH PROB CARTER of Prince William County VA. Their son DANIEL WILLIAMS was born 1763 PROB Prince William County VA. We believe that EDWARD WILLIAMS was the s/o WILLIAM WILLIAMS of Westmoreland County VA & UNKNOWN UNKNOWN who removed to Prince William County VA PRIOR to 1742. We have found records that place EDWARD WILLIAMS of Lulbegrud in Prince William County VA as late as 1776. He removed to Boonesborough in what is now Kentucky in 1779. This EDWARD WILLIAMS of Lulbegrud is claimed to be the father of PENELOPE WILLIAMS m. DUDLEY CURL(E). This WILLIAMS research is VERY active & on-going. Lee Strohm Harrell
