FOLLOW UP: Recent research has shown that EDWARD WILLIAMS father of PENELOPE WILLIAMS m. DUDLEY CURL(E) was b. c1738 (a Montgomery County KY deposition claims age 58 in 1796) PROB Westmoreland or Prince William County Virginia s/o WILLIAM WILLIAMS & [ ? ] of Westmoreland County VA (1771 Prince William County deed - Jemimah & Edward Williams, heir-at-law of WILLIAM WILLIAMS, sells the Prince William County VA land purchased 1741 by his father WILLIAM WILLIAMS of Westmoreland and William's brother-in-law Richard Hazelrigg of Westmoreland). Other recently discovered Prince William County VA records show that EDWARD WILLIAMS' only wife was JEMIMAH PROB CARTER d/o [ ? ] CARTER & SARAH Muse Muse CARTER Thorn Wilson of Prince William County VA. JEMIMAH CARTER WILLIAMS is named in her mother's will.
