I found this obituary for Margaret in the Chanute Daily Tribune for November 5th 1918, p. 3.
MRS T.E. CURLS FUNERAL
Daughter Brought Body home from San Francisco for Burial
The funeral services of Mrs. Margaret Curl, who resided in Chanute at one time were held at the grave yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Curl went to San Francisco with her daughter Mrs. H. B. Haynes and family five months ago and was preparing to return to her children in Kansas when Mrs. H. A. Sayre of Eldorado, Kas., was notified of her sudden illness. Mrs. Sayre at once started for San Francisco, but reached her motherís bedside four hours too late. She at once planned to return with the body, which was laid to rest in Elinwood cemetery.
All the children were present at the funeral, except Mrs. H. B. Haynes of San Francisco, who was unable to return with the body on account of sickness, also a sister Miss Belle Jay and a niece of Guthrie, Okla. The children are Mrs. Sayre of Eldorado, Mrs. Frank V. Hayse of Bartlesville, Okla., and H. E. Curl of Blackwell, Okla.
Also Margaret married Jacob Strack 24 Nov 1906 and she married
Butler Albertson on 27 Sep 1912
Maybe Thomas lied about being a widower because he wanted to hide his marital difficulties? I don't know. I would like to suggest that this Thomas E. Curl maybe Thomas Price Curl who is the son of Aaron L. Curl and Libby Downs Curl.
William D. Curl
