My husband's gggrandmother was Juritha Jane Curlin born 12-9-1823. Her father was Hugh Curlin. They lived in Harrison Co. TX. Juritha Jane's sister was Johanna Curlin married Judge George Lane. George Lane's brother was General Walter Paye Lane who came from Ireland and was a privateer for the Republic of Texas.
There is supposed to be a Bruce Fowler who lived in Arlington in 1974 whose parents had a lot of history on the Curlins back to the 1700s. I found several Bruce Fowlers in the Dallas area but didn't know if he was one of them or not. Supposedly Jessie Horace Curlin married Sara Elizabeth McGill and they moved to Alma (Ellis Co) TX in the 1850s. Jessie was a son of Hugh. I believe thier phone service is out of Ennis.
If you find out anything, please share.
Thanks,
Julia
