My wife's great grandmother was Jurithia Jane Curlin b. 9 Dec 1823 Tennessee died 1869 at Marshall, Harrison County, Texas in a Yellow Fever epidemic along with several other members of her family. She married 6 June 1839 Marshall, Texas, Samuel Charles Thomas Ford b. 9 Sep 1814 Patato Neck, Somerset County, Maryland the son of Rev. Samuel Ford (a Methodist Minister) and Harris White. Juritha's father was Hugh Curlin b. abt 1800 Halifax County, North Carolina died 18 Nov 1843 Greenwood, Harrison County, Texas, Married 9 July 1821 Wilson County, Tennessee Phebe Deborah Jackson b. 28 Dec 1802 Staunton, Agusta County, Virginia who died 10 Mar 1893 Marshall, Texas the daughter of Reuben Jackson b. bet. 1760-1770 in NC or VA and died 1844 Obion County, Tennessee, married Pendleton Co. Va (Now WV) Barbara Dice b. Bet 1775-1794 d. 20 Oct 1821 Wilson County, Tennessee. Reuben Jackson is said to have been Cousin of President Andrew Jackson descended through the Presidents father's brother James Henry Jackson. (undocumented as far as I know) Show Hugh Curlin's parents were Thomas Curlin b.Abt 1761 Ireland md Nancy Sophia Cooper b.1768 Halifax Co. NC dau of Capt. John Cooper, Rev war, and Martha Isles. Would enjoy hearing from somewone. I have more.
