Debbie, the information that I have is that probably they came from England. I got this info from a book compiled by my cousin, Beverly Wilkerson. She does mention a Irish possibility, except she writes in her book that the dates don't match up. Our ancestors did settle in Virginia, also Tennessee, North Caroling and Kentucky. There are many spellings of Curnutt, Curnutte,Curnert,Canut, Cornet, and others.Of course, it may be that we did have Irish ancestors. I only know what is in this book. By the way, do you have any Haskins in Texas? Let me know. thanks for your response. Peggy Kilgore Bozeman
