I don't have any firm information on James, but My GGGrandmother, Malinda Curnutt was born in Jefferson County, TN. in 1825, and according to a another researcher, was listed with her husband, Samuel Harris, one son, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, on the Anderson County TN. Census for 1850. Malinda's parents were Bird and Mary (Romines) Curneutt. According to my notes from various sources, Malinda had an unidentied brother born sometime after 1825. My notes have hs name possibly John, but I don't where I found that name, and it has a birg question mark after it. However, Malinda's parents and siblings moved to Newton Co. AR, the county just east of Caroll County, and Carroll county was divided into several countys. My GGrandfather was born in Carroll County, and was names James E. Harris. There are a lot of similarities that might be coincidental, but maybe we should keep in touch, just in case.

Phil Harris
