Phineas Beedy, (1749-1810), was a private in Capt. Isaac Sherman's company, Col. Loammi Baldwin's regiment, 1775. He served several enlistments under different commands during the war. He was born and died at Poplin.
John Cotton, (1750-1820), served in the Rhode Island campaign, 1778, in Capt. Ezekiel Gile's company.
Thomas Sinclair, (1721-96), was a minute man in Capt. Chase Taylor's company, Col. Thomas Stickney's regiment, Stark's brigade, that marched from Sanborton, 1777. He was born at New Market, N. H., and died at Hardwick, Vt.
