Granddaughter of Samuel Smith and Sarah Beede, his wife; Noah Sinclair and Hannah Cotton, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Phineas Beede, Jr., and Miriam Taylor, his wife; John Cotton, Jr., and Sarah Philbrick, his wife; Joseph Sinclair and Isabel Deckham, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Phinehas Beedy and Sara Batchelder, his wife; John Cotton and Abigail Taylor, his wife; Thomas Sinclair, Jr., and Mary Mead, his wife (m. 1774). Gr.-gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Thomas Sinclair. Phineas Beedy, (1749-1810), was a private in Capt. Isaac Sherman's company, Col. Loammi Baldwin's regiment, 1775. He served several enlistments under different commands during the war. He was born and died at Poplin. John Cotton, (1750-1820), served in the Rhode Island campaign, 1778, in Capt. Ezekiel Gile's company. Thomas Sinclair, (1721-96), was a minute man in Capt. Chase Taylor's company, Col. Thomas Stickney's regiment, Stark's brigade, that marched from Sanborton, 1777.
