I think I found the connection. It is at least a lead to follow.

First off, from FamilySearch IGI. . .

Children of James & Mary Currier born in Newton, Rockingham, NH:
-- Sarah Currier, b. Mar. 22, 1772 - d. Mar. 13, 1773
-- James Currier, b. Mar. 22, 1775
-- Sarah Currier, b. Aug. 1, 1777
-- Nathan Currier, b. Sep. 21, 1782
[Sally, in case you weren't aware, is a nickname for Sarah].

I can't seem to find a marriage for James & Mary, but did find the following in "Vital Records of Enfield, New Hampshire, 1761-1940"

Currier, James, s. Richard & Sarah (Merrill)
b. July 1, 1744, South Hampton
*d. Dec. 11 [9], 1819, Enfield
* bu. George Hill Cem. [40], Enfield
m. (1) Mary Bartlett
m. (2) May 1784, Newton, Lydia Merrill
m. (3) Mary Batchelder

From South Hampton Church Records:

James Currier, son of Richard & Sarah, was baptized July 8, 1744 by Rev. Wm. Parsons.

I cannot find definitive info on Mary Bartlett.
