Hi Pat, I'm interested in this Joseph Currier also as I believe he may be related to my Carrier family from Quebec. My gr-grandfather was born/ baptised Carrier but name was changed to Currier when he moved to Vermont. His father was Joseph, born 1810 in Quebec. My Joseph was still living as of 1885 & I believe someone sent me his death date but would have to check my notes. Joseph & his wife, (Marie) Angele Duperron/Lavertu had at least 10 kids that I've found so far. At least 3 of his daughters settled around Wakefield/Sanbornville/Somersworth,NH area and died there. Another daughter stayed in Quebec. One other daughter may have lived in New Hampshire for a short time, don't have much on her, she was back in Canada in 1885 census with 2 children born in USA, a widow. A few of the sons went on to Ontario. There was a son named Joseph, but if I found the right records, he either lived for a day or he was a twin. I've never been able to get any more on him. The baptism record shows him as Joseph, but the next day's death records show a child as unnamed with the same parents. While researching the family, I discovered that my 2nd gr-grandfather's (Joseph) sister lived in Manchester,NH and raised a large family there. Her married name was Coulombe. the names so far: Joseph carrier (1836-1836)??????
