Curtsinger and Castell connection

I am looking for information on the husband of Martha Curtsinger. She was born around 1865 in Kentucky. I have information on Martha, however, she married Joseph Castell, and his history is hard to find. He was born in Kentucky around 1865, and married Martha.
Joseph was believed to have been part Indian.
He died in or around 1904. He was shot in a tavern which he played the harpsicord. After his death, Martha and the children moved to Illinois where she later remarried. Martha and Joseph had the following children :
George, Mary Alice, Albert, Daniel, and Rosa.
