Dear Bob,

Most of the Crawford County, Pennsylvania clan descended from Johann Phillip Gottschall and his wife, Elizabeth Schrantz.
The original German surname, Gottschall, was "anglicized" to Cutshall by the time he arrived in Crawford County, where he was known as Phillip Cutshall.
I show the following children for Phillip Cutshall and wife Elizabeth: Nancy (b. date unknown); John (b. abt. 1792); Jacob (b. abt. 1796); George W. (b. 29 April 1799).
My particular line is through George W. Cutshall and Jane Sterling, who are my g-g-g grandparents. My g-g grandmother is Nancy Cutshall, George and Jane Cutshall's oldest daughter, who was born in Randolph Township of Crawford County, mentioned in your posting.
Hope the above information will prove of assistance.

Regards,

G. T. Kellogg, Jr.
Stafford, Texas USA
