Your information about Jacob Cutshall being married to Lydia Sowers gave additional support to my discovery that my family has mistakenly thought Lydia's surname was Shook. (I am a g-g-grandson of Jacob and Lydia). Jacob was married five times, the first wife, Margaret Pollick, (12 Jan 1828); then Lydia Sowers (5 Oct 1833); then Mary White (1 Nov 1853); then Jane Leland (26 May 1856); and, finally, Elizabeth Pollock (4 Apr 1858). Jacob had two children with Margaret Pollick and nine children with Lydia.
Margaret's two children, a boy and a girl, apparently died before the 1830 census.
According to the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Censuses, Jacob was living in Fulton County, Henry Township, Indiana, having moved there from Stark County, Ohio, in 1841.
Jacob's brother, John Cutshall, moved from Stark County, Ohio, to Fulton County, Indiana, sometime between 1841 and 1850. Another brother, Valentine, was a neighbor to both Jacob and John in 1830 in Stark County, Lake Township, Ohio.
