I am wondering if Silas Cutcholer could be a Cutshall. Perhaps the name was changed or the er dropped at least. His wife may have been Dorthea Knofts. Three girls by that name were married in Sussex Co., New Jersey.

Marriage: 25 Oct 1796 - Sussex, NJ
They died in Warren County, New Jersey

Dodd, Jordan, Liahona Research, comp. New Jersey Marriages, 1684-1895
They both died in Macomb County, Michigan in the 1840's

There were these Knoff's found living near Peter Dodder in the 1830 Census for Hardwick Township, NJ
John Knoff
Phillip Knoff

I hope to find where they ended up.
