You may also want to add the name of SCUTCHALL to your list as I come from that line via Bedford CO, PA and Frederick Co. MD.
I have the following:

Conrad SCUTCHALL born 1807 married Elizabeth
Children: David, John, James, Elizabeth A., Hannah, Rebecca, Isabelle, Simon, Mary Catherine and George.

Samuel and Nancy SCUTCHALL born in MD
Children: Conrad, George W.-lived in Cambira CO. PA., William-lived in Blair CO. PA., John, and at least 2 daughters.

Have found many CUTCHALLS also in Bedford CO in the 1800-1820 Census. Also a Conrad & a Felty SCUTCHALL with families in Huntington CO. in the 1800-1810 cenus.

There was a George CUTSHALL born 4/29/1799 Cumberland, PA married Jane Sterling 1823 and moved to Ohio where George died in 1881 in Lorain CO., Ohio & they also had a son, George W. CUTSHALL born 12/30/1832.

In Fulton CO. PA is a Conrad CUTCHALL born about 1740 Frederick MD son of Casper CUTSHALL/GOTTSCHALL married to a Sussannah Morrison who was born 1771 Frederick CO., MD. They had sons, Peter Conrad born 3/2/1790 married Charlotte Lane; John about 1794; Joseph about 1796 PA.; and William born 1805 Huntingdon CO., PA married Hannah Lane.

In Frederick CO. Maryland I found a George SCUTCHALL married Catherine Cline 4/18/1778.
Conrad GOTTSCHALL married Susanna Albach 7/24/1784-had son Jacob born 8/28/1793 MD.
Christian GOTTSCHALL married Elisabetha-had Maria Catharina born 5/27/1781. Elizabeth GOTTSCHALL married Joseph Butterbaugh 6/15/1785. There is also a Samuel and Maria GOTTSCHALL who had son Samuel baptized 12/3/1820.

Then in Ohio is found a George SCUTCHALL in Richland Co., Bloomingrove Twp. Ohio in the 1840 Census. Also from Ohio was a George W. SCUTCHALL and John D. SCUTCHALL that were in the Civil War.

I am hoping that someone will recognize any of these names as I need help in trying to trace my family. If anyone can please help me out, email me at

Thank you,
Gloria Weiss
