Edward L. (Ed) Cutshall
Died: 02-28-2003 Edward L. "Ed" Cutshall, 81, of Juniper Street, died Friday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Cutshall retired from the Greeneville Water Department.
He was a member of Lord’s Tabernacle Church, attending as long as his health permitted.
Mr. Cutshall was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving an honorable discharge. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, a Bronze Battle Star, a Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post #1990.
Survivors include his wife: Pansy Cutshall; two daughters and sons-in-law: Eddie Karen and Preston Large of Mosheim and Vickie and John Jones of Greeneville; two stepdaughters and their husbands: Becky and Jerry Ricker of the home and Lisa and Billy Lane of Mosheim; three stepsons and their wives: Michael and Sharon Willett, Rickey and Patricia Willett, and Danny Willett, all of Greeneville; his grandchildren and their spouses: Daniel Large and Eric Large, both of Mosheim, Kim and Chip Hanson of New York, and Johnny and Robin Jones of Greeneville; his stepgrandchildren: Jared Ricker, Billy Lee Lane, Brenda Lane, Matthew Willett, Kayla Willett, Teddy Willett, Greg Willett, Laura Willett, Amanda Willett, Nickolas Willett, Jessica Willett, Stephanie Willett, Amy Willett, Devon Willett, Derek Willett, and Dillion Boyd; his great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Hanson and Alex Hanson, both of New York; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Brenda and Don Johnson; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Jimmy and Lisa Taylor; and several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Robin and Gary Shepard.
He was a son of the late Prichard and Ethel Shelton Cutshall and was preceded in death by two brothers: Glenn Cutshall and Flonnas Cutshall; and a half-brother: Calvin McIntosh.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Kiser Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at Lord’s Tabernacle Church with interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery in the Sunnyside community. The Rev. Buster Shelton and Rev. Thomas Holt will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Teddy Willett, Billy Lee Lane, Greg Willett, Daniel Large, Eric Large, and Brian McIntyre.
Honorary pallbearers will be the 4-East nurses at Laughlin Hospital, Dr. Joseph Scott, and Mr. Cutshall’s friends at the Greeneville Water Department.
