Hello everyone. I do not subscribe to this list as at the moment I do not have time, so please answer by writing me directly. mewexler@buffnet#net (For antispam purposes, change the "#" to a "." before sending.)
My mother was a Cutts and I am interested in starting a DNA project for the Cutts line and for similar spellings both here and abroad. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I must have at least 2 committed people besides the male cousin I will be sponsoring. DNA must be from a male Cutts (not adopted), but females may contact a cousin or brother and pay to have them tested.
Fees are discounted by $60-70 for a group and it can be as anonymous as you would like, there is no pain or blood in taking the sample, and it is all pretty easy. You may learn more by clicking on this URL: http://www.familytreedna.com/
You may wish to read some of the FAQs to see how it could help in your research. So far, another project I am involved in on my father's side has eliminated rumors that there were Native Americans in the line. We have identified 4 separate lines from the small group of 15, and have verified some close links in my line.
When you answer, could you please tell me what you may wish to learn from this research. Also, perhaps tell me who your earliest ancestor is and where and when born. Those things will help when setting up a website.
Another project I set up is in its infancy: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/EdgeDNA/
There are others you may check out, too.
Thanks for your time. Hope to hear from you soon. Also, please spread the word around. I will be sending this to a Cutts Association abroad as well.
