MASON CITY - Allece Lavon Dabbs, 77, of Mason City died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, at Mason City Area Nursing Home.
She was born April 26, 1929, in Mason City, the daughter of Carmi and Myrtle Johnson Hawks. She married Charles Ray Dabbs in 1948 in Mason City; he died in 1983.
Mrs. Dabbs graduated from Mason City High School. She served as a CIEDC board member and was a foster grandmother with Head Start in Havana. She was an Optimist member and member of Mason City American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors: son, Paul Edward (wife, Carol Jean) Dabbs of Carlock; three grandchildren; brother, Carmi L. (wife, Shirley) Hawks of Mason City; and sister, Leola (husband, Robert) Disbrow of Edmond, Okla.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Hurley Funeral Home, Mason City, the Rev. Kevin Boesen officiating. Burial: Mason City Cemetery.
