Hi Nicole,

I was adopted but later found my bio. parents. My father is a Dabbs. I don't know if we are connected to your side. I did a DNA test and found out I am mostly European, part Native American and 5-10% Sub Saharan African. I don't if the African comes from the Dabbs side or not. I know they were from NC but don't know if any were slaveowners. I know there the surname Hester and James are in the family. I am interested in researching my African-American line too, but run into brick walls. I think they tried to hide the fact somewhere down the line. Well, please keep in touch and I'd love to see your pictures!
