DABNEY, IRA SYLVESTER, MASON COUNTY, M, 10-10-1867

Father: John R. Dabney, white, farmer
Mother: Airnetty Dabney, white (Should be Arnetty)

Note: Ancestry lists I.S. Dabney as IVY S. Dabney on all censuses, etc. I tend to believe that someone simply misread the handwriting of the census taker. There are several other Iras among the Mason County Dabneys and their descendants, so it seems safe to say that I.S. Dabney is actually IRA SYLVESTER.
