Don't know if this will help you at all, but might offer some clues: It's about Dickson/Dickerson/Dickinson; not Dabney and I found it in an old file. Unfortunately the original source name has been lost-looks like a book of land deeds though:
pg 543-544 25 Mar 1754 William Dickinson of St. Martin's Par., Louisa Co., Planter, and Sarah, his wife. to Richmond Terrell of same, Planter. L38 (pounds??) currt. money. One water grist mill with 2 acres adjoining on the Little River, devised to sd. Dickinson by the last Will and Testament of his father, Nathan Dickinson, dec'd., recorded in Louisa Co...60 yards below the mill house by the river. William Dickerson (sic) Sarah Dickenson.
26 Mar 1754 Acknowledged by William Dickerson and Sarah, his wife, declared her consent.
