"Charles Dabney born 1761" I think my John is Charles' brother. I think that John in your query was John L Dabney living in South Carolina in 1790. John L Dabney married Mary Pauline Hoot. John L & Mary moved to Dallas Co Alabama after 1820, where he died about 1825. He was born between 1766-1774. His son was John Lane Dabney (1816-1888) who migrated to Dallas Co Alabama before 1830 and then San Jacinto Co. Texas after 1850. I think this because of the Surname of "Lane" being the middle name of one for sure and possibly both Johns. Any help would be appreciated.
