I am very interested in the DAFFERN name and variations, as I think they may have all been derived from the same surname long ago. I am researching my family surname, DAFFIN, and have found DAFFRON, DAFFERN, and many similar spellings in old records from the same area where my ancestors lived. Also, many of the DAFFINS in England live around the Sheffield and Birmingham area.
Here is a site of a researcher of DAFFORN and DAFFERN. He may help, but he has not been active recently, perhaps busy...
