John and Mary Daffern, Boston

I am trying to find out more on a JOHN and MARY DAFFERN (may also be DAFFORN/DAFFORNE/DAFFRON/DAFFIN...these spellings used in various accounts I found pertaining to John and Mary and their children)
I don't have a marriage date, but they apparently were early settlers of Massachussetts living in the Boston area. I have their children as:

MARY; born April 15, 1677
JOHN; born Aug. 3, 1678
ISAAC; born Nov. 20, 1680
RICHARD; dates unknown.

I first came across this info searching for my surname DAFFIN. In early records, this name is invariably spelled many different ways which seems to make it difficult in tracking down my earliest ancestors. Does anybody have the above people in their family line or research? I would like to know more of their origin, descendants, and what other parts of the country they may have moved to since the 17th - 19th centuries.
