Hi Maura,

Well it looks as if it was your father David, who left that message. Your grandfather was Raymond Orlando Daffern and your great grandfather Henry Edward Daffern who lived at Ledbury BUT your 2 X great grandfather was William George DAFFURN, my own maiden name. I am your cousin. For unknown reasons, three of the Ledbury Daffurns changed the spelling of their surname to DAFFERN but the other nine children mostly kept to the spelling DAFFURN.

I sent your grandad Raymond a family tree in 1991 and I cannot understand why you nor your father have seen it.
