Found your messages concerning the Daffron family, and would be interested in comparing our records. My brother-in-law, family name is DeCora, and his mother's last name is Daffron. From what I have read so far they are from the same lineage. William L. Daffron's middle name was Levi. Sarah Ann's motherwas Martha Eads.Sarah was born in St.Petersberg, Fl.when the Civil War broke out, and the young family was shipped to live in Chattanooga, Tenn. Sara Ann was 2 weeks old when the trip started. William Gann, Sarah's father was in the Confederate Army, and was reported killed in action. Her mother remarried to a Jessie Key. In 1869 he, William Gann returned still kicking. He had another soldier tell his wife he was dead. After treatening to take Sarah from her Mom, Keys and Sarah's mom legally married. They went on to have six more children.

If this sounds like the same family, please let me know, cause some of the information I have is really hard to read, as is comes from a hand written copy from an old family bible. Anyway most of the family is supposed to be buried on Etna Mountain or Raccoon Mountain. Waiting to hear from you.
Thank you

J.Harris
