As I told Audrey, it is only a supposition that the Samuel Daggett who married Adelia Fielder is the son of Jacob Daggett Jr.
The Samuel Bradlee Doggett book has the decendency as far as Jacob Sr.
William of Saco
Jacob Sr (nothing further on Jacob in this book)
My copy of this book was released in 1973 and William of Saco begins on page 565.
However here is a supplement to this book called "Supplements to Thomas Doggett of Marshfield and William Daggett of Saco" by George H. and Sydney B. Daggett. My copy was published in 1975.
In the supplement George and Sydney continue the line of William of Saco as follows
Here is what it says EXACTLY in this book (page 19, section William Daggett of Saco, Maine)

In the suplement, the author gives the date of Jacob SR.'s birth as May 30 1766, Sutton MA but points out that his Pension record says 15 May 1759
Again I stress that this is the author's supposition (not mine) regarding Samuel.
You might be interested to know that there is a third book called "A Supplement to John Doggett/Daggett of Martha's Vineyard" by the same authors.
