Hi to all other DAGGETT descendants. I didn't realise there were so many in America!!!
I'm hoping though that someone has traced their family back to England. I'm one of a handful of DAGGETT's in Australia and have traced my line back to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England.
Henry DAGGETT b.23 Jun 1806, [parents Christopher DAGGETT & Ann JOICE(JOYCE)] was my gg grandfather. He arrived in Aust. in 1834 as a convict. I'm trying to find out if anyone knows about a wife and three sons in England. After arriving in Aust. convicts were allowed to remarry after 7 years and he married Anne McINTYRE(McINTIRE)b. c1812/1813 Co. Meath, Ireland but I havn't been able to find any mention of his previous wife or children and would like to find out more about them or any relatives of Henry DAGGETT. He did have four sisters, Jane, Phillis, Mary Ann and Sarah and he was a seaman/boatman, his father a waterman.
Can anyone help? I would be so grateful for any information, thank you.
