I am one of the many daharsh decendents. All that I have ever heard is the family is traced back to upstate NY to pre revolutionaoly war where our multiple great philip served in the war. Beyond that there is speculation that we are plaetine a Pre France and Germany region now al saints loreign (french alps pardon my spelling). I have always heard from family that we are dutch, but some think that the palatines were pushed out through holland to america. I have seen the family tree several times on the internet and pass one on if you like. It turns out because they miss spelled our name all Daharsh's related to Philip and Issac.
Hope this helps.
