Dahill @1833 - 1895 France? Ire-CN-OH

My line of Dahill's are Patrick (bn @ 1833) and Margaret (Sheehan) Dahill. I have recently found on the 1910 and 1920 census that 2 of Patrick's daughter report that he was born in France, a big surprise to me! Everything up to this point always said Ireland. I do know that Patrick and Margaret had thier first 2 children, twins, who say they were born 17 Nov 1859 in Kanturk, County Cork, Ireland. The next 2 children are born 1864 & 1865 in Hartford, CN, the rest are born in Urbana, Champaign County, OH. Any ideas or help on this France connection will be appreciated. I am also still searching for passenger records for them.
