I found everyone I could. There are two emigration databases and neither one is complete.

In the English language, we write dates as month/day/year. In Swedish, dates are written day/month/year.

You were given a lookup in English. ;-)

Look at the difference between the English language information and the Swedish language information.

Note how those dates reverse depending upon the language.

The Emibas CD was made by volunteers and some parishes had difficulty finding volunteers who would look for emigrations from the parish to go to a foreign country. The cd was made for those parishes in which volunteers could be found. It is about 75% complete, and it is MUCH less complete than that after the mid-1890s.

The Emihamn database was made from registrations with Swedish port police to go to a foreign country outside of Europe. Many Swedes didn't go through a Swedish port. Depending upon where they lived in Sweden, they might have emigrated from ports in countries such as Norway, Denmark, and Germany.

These emigration databases are fantastic but not complete.

Consider asking questions about Swedes who were born in Sweden on the Sweden forum. Type Sweden into the "Jump to Forum" space at the top right of this page.
