Hi, I traced the Daigneault family tree back to Joseph Daigneault born 1800, married Genevieve/Jane Cameron in Lake Superiour. They had a son also Joseph born 1824 in the Red River Settlement in Manitoba. He had a son Francois born 1870 in St. Charles Manitoba. He had a son Pierre born in St.Boniface Manitoba. Pierre was my grandfather.
An enormous data base is available at la society historique de Saint-Boniface. For a fee of (i think 40 dollars) they will trace your family tree back in time. They did me and I found out information all the way back to the 1500's!
