Katrina -
How nice to hear from you. I do wonder if we areof the same family. My family records all say Marianna Blanchette's husband's name was Pierre Daigneault. But all the records in Southbridge, Ma say it was Louis. Wonder if he changed is name when he got to this country???
I did find a Pierre b. 1889 in the vital recs. But, unfortunately, no parents listed.
I have listed children for Louis (Pierre) and Marianna:
Alphonse - b 1856 in Canada - md Marie Louise Galipiau
Vitaline (Victoria) b abt 1852 in Candad - md Francois LaBonte
Alfred (Albert) b 1860 in Canada - md Celina Miller
Celina MY GR.GRANDMOTHER B 1865 in Canada - md Julien Therrien
Malvina (Mina) b abt 1868 in Canada
Now, Mariana d at age 88 in 1906 -buried in Southbridge.
According to my figuring, she would have been 71 the year Pierre was born. Am I right about this??? So, do not think Pierre is a brother.
I can trace most of this family in the Southbridge vital records. It is the Canadian part I have trouble with. Would love to share with you. Nothing is ever set in stone.
Again, looking forward to hearing from you.
Will be on vaca now for a couple of weeks, but will get back to you.
Regards, Pat Converse Brown
