Hi: Antoine Madore and Melina Prisque were my grandparents. We found the same census records as Lori posted, but unfortunately don't have a lot of information other than this. We did find a First World War record for my grandfather, Antoine, and a record of his wedding to Melina, but so far have not found much else. The posting by Lori actually provided some details that we weren't aware of, so we will try to do some additional searching. My grandfather, Antoine, died in a horse and buggy accident (he was hit by a car) before I was born (my DOB is 15/01/50) so I never knew him. My grandmother, Melina, lived into her late 80s. Antoine and Melina had five children, three boys and two girls. My father, Frederick Jerry, was the youngest child. I never knew any of my grandfather's siblings, so I don't know anything about your grandfather, Leon. I was told by someone that some of Antoine's siblings moved from Quebec to the Timmins area, but we are not sure on this. Antoine and Melina lived in Sault Ste. Marie ON and they are both buried here. If you have located any further information on the family, would you mind sharing it? We will do the same if we come up with anything else.
