There are some of the variations i've seen: Daigneault, Daigneau, Daignault, Dagneau, Deniau, Deneau, Deneault, Deniault, Denio, Denault, Daneau, Daniau and Deno. Chances are
that the name Danyow was used by some town clerk in the USA because he was unsure how it was spelled because many early French Canadians who came could not spell.
