I saw an old post that said Rosanna Day married Pleasant Caudill abt 1859 in Breathitt. I believe this to be in error because The Roasnna it mentions b. in 1842 Va. was at home in 1860 in Morgan Co., Ky. with her parents and siblings. I did find a Pleasant Caudill on the LDS familysearch site that married a Rosanna Simpkin in Breathit Co., Ky. to a Pleasant Caudle. I find another Pleasant Caudill married to a Catherine in 1860 with a daughter Rosanna. Somehow I believe the person who posted the information got some notes mixed up.
I have been researching the Daily surname and looking for information on a John E. Daily b. 1841 in Morgan Co., KY. I find him in the 1870 census married to a Rosa, whom I believe to be Rosanna Day b. 1842 Va., but have not found proof yet. I know his younger brother William A. Daily married her younger sister just younger than her abt. 1870. Her name was Fannie Day. Fannie was 6 yrs older than Wm. In the 1860 census John and Rosa had the following children, Elizabeth, Margaret, Richard and Sherman. Does anyone have proof of who this Rosa is or able to confirm this family. Her age and place of birth coincides with Rosanah's and also Willoughby her father and his family were living very near the Dailys in the 1860 census as well as in the 1870 census. I cannot find John and Rosa in the 1880 census but find John is remarried in the 1900 census to a Sarah A. whom I don't have a maiden name for either and also need help putting the info together. My findings so far are John E. Daily and Rosa had four boys, William A., Richard Sherman, John Floyd, and Jackson Harlan Daily besides the two girls. John E. and Sarah A. had Thomas S., Alice F., Loretta A., and Mabel. Any help will be really helpful.
