Sorry I didn't answer sooner, I've a son graduating from HS, and I'm rather busy right now.
I don't believe we're related, but there could be a connection in Kelly's Island that I don't know about. I've often seen the DA/ly,ily,ilely name in KI, and it would have been a natural route for the westward movement, but most of my DALYs stayed in Lorain County and moved eastward to Cleveland.
Michael DAILY and Catherine O'ROURKE married in 1861, first child in 1863 b. in OH and by 1870 they were living on farmland owned by my Ggf, Lawrence DALY, in LaGrange, Lorain, OH. In 1880 the family has moved to the town, and by 1900 are retired in Cleveland.
There was a son, John Edward DAILEY (he insisted on spelling it this way so as not to be confused with the newspaper circulation!) He married an Ellen Sullivan in Michigan, and I don't know if they lived in Kelly's Island or not. They had a daughter Mary Ada Noelle DAIley.
The Mary Daily who was Michael and Catherine's daughter married John McMorrow.
Catherine had a brother named Martin, and he also came to Ohio and had a family here. His wife was Anna O'Donnell. Their children would have been O'Rourkes, and I don't know anything about their marriages. I know their birth dates, but since I'm not "directly" related, and haven't proved how Michael DAILY is related to us, I haven't pursued this family. I can tell you that there are lots of redheads among our DALYS (the spelling our end of the family adopted).
Hope this info helps you. If you believe there is a further connection, pls let me know.
