my gt gt grand-father was fred daines, as i belive he had 6 sons and 1 daughter. 1 of his brothers was george daines, a cavlary vet in the armed forces. he moved to canada and had a ranch. my grand father basil (the yongest of the six sons) daines had two sons ian, and ted daines. basil was in the navy and after worked in all kinds of jobs. he was born in 1916, and died in 1984/5. ian daines born 1951 is my father, lives in the london area had two kids grant (me), and collette. collette has moved to the USA and married (now collette adams) and i still live in london. ted daines also lives in london area, and has 3 kids. as i am lead to belive, fred/george lived in the dover area, had fishing boats, and was involved in the evacuation of dunkirk( also i belive that 1 of the three boats where sunk) 1 of the 6 sons of fred daines had an ear problem as a kid, and i belive he died. i hope i can help or you can help me.
