Minnie Cleo Dalby married John Crook in Chillicothe, MO 6/4/1899. At John's grandmother's death in 1902, a Mrs. George Dalby from Coin, IA came to the funeral.
Apparently Minnie is descended from a Joseph A. Dalby. In "Colonial and Revolutionary Lineages of America" there is a biography of John Crook. Immediately following is the genealogy for a Joseph Dalby "the descendant, according to family tradition, of a Methodist minister". Unfortunately, the person that sent it to me did not copy the Dalby genealogy, so I really don't know the connection.
