My files have Susannah Dolby born 22 November 1818 Greene Co OH - her death I didn't have until you gave it. IF she married 9 Dec 1837 then my information on her first child might be off as I show him, Joel Lawrence Little, born 20 Dec 1836 which would indicate he was born "before" the marriage. You might want to verify the marriage/and the sons birth information. My records show Susannah Dolby the d/o Joel Dalby and Elizabeth Smith. You will have to verify this information for yourself as it is information I found on www.rootsweb.com probably on the World Connect files. I have a transcript of Joel Dalbys will in which he names his daughter as Susannah Little so this is proof that she definitely was his daughter. The Will was proved 16 Sep 1859 in Clinton IN so you will have to go there to get a copy. All I know is what it said, as a descendant you will surely want a copy of it.

Please check out my Dolby Days Website and consider joining our efforts to compile factual Dolby/Dalby family info. Would you email me privately and give me the rundown on your Family line so I can get you listed on the Dolby Descendants page?

ALSO - once you know that Susannah is a member of this line and that she was a daughter of Joel, you will will also soon see or hear that Joel was the son of Richard D'Albey (Dalbey) and Susannah Harris. This might be true but it is not proven so please don't believe that its so until someone comes up with some documentation to that fact. There is a lot of contraversy about this unsupported fact at the moment, so don't run with it until you know for sure.

Happy to help in any way I can with further information.
