I have more information about Isaac Dalby Fawcett - he married in 1843 to Elizabeth Whitfield (I have copied his marriage settlement at the Registry of Deeds).

The name "Dalby" seems to come from a Huguenot ancestor who was John (or Jean) Dalby (Dalbis, D'Albis etc) a Lieutenant in the Earl of Lifford's Foot, who was granted land in 1698 in Kings Co (Offaly) at a townland called Ballintogher - deeds show this being handed down through the generations, though I haven't yet worked out all the links. Isaac is buried in Geashill COI graveyard with others of the family.

I have a lot more information about the Fawcett/Fossitt family of Offaly/Laois which I am happy to share.
